mysite.com/AnyCountry - eg - not using /home/show/counry

18 August 2012 at 2:41pm
Hi all,
I'm setting up a new website listing cycle hire locations, and would like the url to be like mysite.com/new_zealand/wellington/
(I have a database of countries and regions set up)
I could do mysite.com/home/show/new_zealand/wellington - but this isn't as easy for the user to remember, or as good for SEO as the first folder 'home' and 'show' names are important for SEO but have no meaning here.
does anyone know if there is a way of doing this - i'd prefer not to set up pages in the admin for each country/region of the world!

using .htaccess i managed to shorten 'mysite.com/home/show/newzealand' to 'mysite.com/countries/newzealand' which is better... if not quite perfect!
