Document Management

Hi there,
I've been asked to add a document management feature to our search teams intranet site with similar functionality to the way SharePoint works, you know, version control of a document and checking in and out a file.
Is this something anyone has done?
Any pointers greatly received.

Can i take it then that no-one has done a document management system via SS then?
It seems like it should be something SS would be good at.

I do not know of such functionality, however there is a module for versioned files at least.

Hi cumquat,
We have recently built a nice Document Management System using SilverStripe 3. We will hopefully be open-sourcing it very soon. Watch this space!Julian

Thanks for the replys, i feel a tad embarrassed as i thought i knew all the modules but the versionsed files slipped me by, oops. Thanks for the pointer there Nobrainer Web.
Candidasa i would be very interested in looking at you Doc. Man. system when your ready to release it, i wait with baited breath :o)
