Symlinks and Absolute Paths in GD.php

11 June 2009 at 7:07am
Hi, I'm working on several SilverStripe-based sites and I'm having some issues with uploaded assets when I share sapphire, core, and jsparty between these sites via symlinks.
It appears that SilverStripe's backend uses relative paths to find uploaded assets and other things. I've read through some topics and UncleCheese said that if symlinks are used, then File.php, GD.php, and Folder.php would have to be modified to use absolute paths. How can I do this?
