Gallery module bust?

6 January 2009 at 3:11am
The gallery module as seen here:
http://demo.silverstripe.com/gallery/No longer works with Lightbox? I test in Ie7, Ie6, Google Chrome, and FF2+ but the links on the thumbnails simply open a new window (tab). Seems anywhere I look any variation is the same...

The Gallery module is being revamped and will be merged with my extension, AFAIK.
More info here:

Make sure you get the latest release.. somewhere toward the end of that thread.

I looked and found some links on this thread page:http://www.silverstripe.org/archive/show/218462?start=24
But http://imagegallery.carlinowebdesign.com is bust as well. Not only is there a PHP ominous warning at the top, but clicking on an image is the same result - a new tab/window.
Can you give a direct link to a working extension/module ? Thanks!

Thanks for the prompt replies.
However, more problems. Does this require pear? I don't currently have it installed on this production machine and would rather not. I'm getting 1 warning and 1 error from PHP (seems the warning is a path issue).
I'm both following your site and this here http://doc.silverstripe.com/doku.php?id=modules:image_gallery
I'm a bit confused, any help appreciated.

Shouldn't require PEAR. Can you paste your errors?

With the Gallery module [v0.2.3], when you use it to display audio files such as MP3, if you use the file extention of sound and choose type Images, Sounds or Videos, the sound file does not play. But you can make it play by using either Type Document or Web Page.
What tweaks or resolution is available so that the sound file plays with the Sound file type extension selected?
Now when the audio file is displayed in the lightbox window, it downloads the file and immediately starts playing for a second and then downloads it again in Firefox before it starts playing but OK in IE, Safari, Google Chrome browsers, i.e. starts plyaing after the initial MP3 download.
See: http://cms233.kidsmusiccompany.co.nz/cd-sound-snippets/
Are there any tweaks for this loading MP3 twice issue?
