Obtain User's Security Permission Group/s

Hi,
1) Is it possible for a user to belong to more than one security group within the system?
2) How can I obtain which user group/s the person is apart of to use in the CMS for the showing/hiding tabs or fields?
3) How can I limit certain items to only be shown in the Site Content if the user is not part of a certain group?
4) How can I disable certain functionality on the Site Content such as Adding, Deleting, Updating, if the user is of a certain group?Thanks
