I've noticed that a lot of files in cms, saphire and other folders have 755 CHMOD. I knew that a god chmod for files is 644.

Is normal for SS to have 755 files in almost all folders (templates files, code files, even a _config.php was 755 )?

You'd normally only need 644 on files (rw-r--r--). If you've just FTPd files to your server, I imagine it's just the default permissions. I suggest you change all the files to 644 and see how you get on.
