Alternative menu required

I had a clients website which has a side menu system. It has been built so it goes down at an angle. So basically every menu item at the moment has a couple of spaces before them so this adds up as we go down the list and makes the menu slope downwards to the right. I want to swap the CMS to Silverstripe any ideas how this can be done using SS 2.2.3.
