Staying Logged in and cannot login our log out

We have an issue here (ver 2.2), where when we return to the login screen it it either says we are already logged in and we cannot log out, or we cannot login at all with our user account, we just get the incorrect username/password. What is strange is, on my PC, everything works just fine just seems to be a problem from his end (no caps, spaces or typos as he has tried numerous times).
Any ideas?
