Setting html ID in Sidebar

Is there a way to know and set a unique id="" in the html for the sidebar?
<li id="UniqueID"><a href="$Link" target="_self">$MenuTitle.XML</a>
Also is there a way to know what options I have to set for the $MenuTitle?
What are all the methods and properties?
