Newsletter email not sending but contact form is?

I have setup a newsletter to send to clients but it doesn't want to send. The newsletter goes through everything and says it is sent but I receive nothing in the in box. Have tried gmail account and a normal account to receive but nothing. I have set up a contact form which sends no problem and receives so the server is working fine. Baffled.....?
