LinseyM's solution in another thread worked for me:

In your _config.php file add the following line of code:

Requirements::set_combined_files_enabled(false);

I didn't experience the error until I added LeftAndMain images settings and logging in before the images named in the settings were uploaded to the server. Not sure if that's what started the issue the timing of the problem coincide w/this.
