Can I allow slashes in URL?

I want the URL for a subpage to look like this:
http://www.example.com/hello/world/foo/bar/

But in the admin URL gets changed by JavaScript.

"URLs can only be made up of letters, digits and hyphens."

You should have a look at the "nested urls" branch of SilverStripe. I think it's accessible via SVN:
http://svn.silverstripe.com/open/modules/sapphire/branches/nestedurls
