IF Statement in Navigation Structures

Hi,
What I'm looking to do is create a page, but seperate all the data out into subpages.
Now I believe you can do this with IF Statements in PHP, but how do you do this in SilverStripe.
Basically in the admin side everyone is seperated into step by step tabs, I'd like to then show that out in the front end also.
Any help appreciated
