I think banal has answered this a couple of times.

Download an svn client such as tortoise @ http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads

I already have this actually, but how do I use it to get a copy of userforms?

I've just tried again with Tortoise and finally it is working!

I did it the same way I was trying earlier. Before it was either failing or asking me for a username and password.

Happy now :-)

You will need a password to access some parts (or commit to somethings) as it is read only. Make sure you use http://svn.si.. rather then svn://svn.sil....
