Get erro message when trying to use image icon in CMS

When I try to insert an image onto a page in the CMS with the image icon I get message from Windows Explorer that "Object doesn't support this property or method". This problem is only occuring on my hosted web site. On my local web site the facility works fine using the same browser. I have a number of layout anomolies in the CMS on the hosted web site. Such as the tabs not appearing but instead a list of the tab headings as links. The CMS still seems to work OK but because of these changes in layout some of the functions are off the bottom of the screen.
As always help would be greatly appreciated.

Double check all the files uploaded successfully when you copied the site to the live server. Then try and reload the admin with a ?flush=1
