_resampled directory not created.

24 October 2009 at 4:05pm
When adding an image to a page, doing a "save" of the content apparently
wants to resize the image and put it into the "_resampled" subdirectory.
That directory is not being created and the modified image is not being
created, though the link to the (non-existent) resized image is being
inserted into the saved HTML.Running OS-X 10.6 with apple's Apache and PHP (which is version 5.3).
GD is enabled. Permissions on parent directories of the one containing
the images are 777 all the way up to "assets" and the document root.I see a lot of forum entries on this problem going back a couple of years,
but no definitive solution. What should I look at to fix this? Any help
would be appreciated. -

Did you manually create the _resampled folder in the directory you're working in and give it 777 permission?
You'll probably need to delete the image without the thumbnail and re-upload it once the _resampled directory is created.

OK... I manually created the _resampled directory and set the permissions.
Removed the previous images and re-downloaded to the directory containing
the _resampled directory.Still: the resized image whose name appears in the generated HTML
is not created in the _resampled directory, only the downloaded file
itself but not a resized image in the subdirectory.
