I am runing IIS6 and Helicon 3. PHP5 is installed and working fine with other sites. As is MySQL 5.

Attached are my screens for preinstallation and post installation error.

It seems not to be a password issue (at least that is what the preinstall checks are saying!

Refreshing the page as is says and resubmitting produces the same error.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi,

I see your trying to install using a default blank password root user. Have you tried creating a new mysql user and installing with that one?

Thanks for the reply. I actually was using the correct password it was just that the PDF export was blanking the field when creating the PDF.

However, you gave me a clue where to look.

The work around I used was to update the _ss_environment.php with a working user name and password before I ran the install. This did the trick. I am not sure if this is what you are supposed to do, if so, I missed that instruction. If not, why do I need this work around?

Any how, on to the next issue, getting the Helicon Rewriter to work! Another post may follow!

Cheers

At the bottom of this page are some pointers for IIS 5/6 installation.

Also, this might of some use: http://cubiksoundz.blogspot.com/2008/12/tech-note-installing-silverstripe-cms.html (which uses ISAPI_Rewrite3 from Helicon).
