Fatal Error when going to /admin

I have several installations of SS running well on my hosting server, but my latest installation refuses to load /admin, giving an 'out of memory' error. This only occurs when I access the site from it's intended URL, but the same installation works perfectly when viewed as a sub-domain of my primary site. Using SS 2.3.7. Any ideas, guys? I'm beaten...
