Windows Home Server v1 and Silverstripe

Hi there,
I start this post because i can't find anything concerning ( specific ) WHS.
There are some posts about installing SS on Windows 2003, but i need to install SS on WHS and keep my original 'default website ' as it is, because this is used to remotely get to my server. WHS v1 is based on Windows Server 2003 and therefore runs IIS 6. Since the most articles are several years old ( as is WHS ) , i was wondering if anybody had figured it out yet.
Yes...
- I tried the WEB PI ...it installed fine. But only after the install i find out that it only supports IIS 7. ( no way of checking what version the client is using , before installing? )
- I installed the WHS Addins for PHP 5.2 and MySQL from " http://www.wegotserved.com/category/add-ins/whs-v1/miscellaneous/ "
- I want to use the information on " http://cubiksoundz.blogspot.com/2008/12/tech-note-installing-silverstripe-cms.html " but i'm still concerned that i corrupt my default website in a way that i cannot use it for RDP anymore.
So... Is there somebody with WHS that has SS installed and is willing to write some kind of tutorial / step by step guide ( i could use some help with IIS also ). Oh, btw; i am familiair with SS itself, use it with WAMP right now.
Thanks in advance...Stef

Where in the WebPI install does it say it only supports IIS 7? I was fairly sure this would still work with Windows XP even...

Hallo Sean tx for the reply ,
Well to be honest....it doesn't say it anywhere. But after reading several posts ( including the reply by WillR "http://www.silverstripe.org/installing-silverstripe/show/279573 " ) i came to that conclusion. Anyway it doesn't work on WHS...Everything installs fine except SS !! AFAIK it has something to do with the rewrite issue in IIS 6 ...but then again that's way over my head.

Okay, i - kinda - solved it
I did a fresh install of the server because i used the web PI AND the PHP / MySql add ins and could'nt clean everything to start over.
I didn't use the WEB PI but did it manualy. If somebody wants to know how i'll post a step by step guide here.
I have it working now without the friendly URL's but that's the way it is for now. We'll be waiting for WHS 'vail' since that is based on Server2008 so that implies the use of IIS 7.

You can use a third-party rewriting plugin called IIRF. More information here: http://www.silverstripe.org/installing-silverstripe/show/276139
