Hi folks, as you obviously notice, I am new to SilverStripe. I wanted to install Silverstripe on my local MAMP server. After changing the folder name from SilverStripe-v2.4.6 into sth shorter, I got back an error, when calling the installation script.

I had the idea to give it another try by installing Silverstripe under its original folder name. This time it worked out fine for me.

I am astounded somehow. Is it true that one can't change the name of the installation folder, before running the installation? If so, why is it?

Greets,

Robert

check your .htaccess file in the "folder" and look for a line like...

	RewriteBase /<foldername>

...this is most likely the issue
