Is it possible to move SS system files to a directory above the web root? This include framework/, cms/ and individual module directories (including mysite).

All in all, I only want index.php and FE assets in the web root.

I have everything working for the main site FE - my issue is the CMS. I cannot get JS/CSS assets to load from the cms/ directory above web root. Do I have any options here? Is this possible? From what I can tell, it is not possible to use mod_rewrite to load files above web root.

Using SS 3.1, installed via composer.

using a virtual host can help and you can have a custom domain for the CMS too like cms.mydomain.com
