first installation

26 June 2009 at 2:02am
Hi, I want to install SS for the first time but I have two doubts:
1. What's the difference between choosing the Blackcandy or the empty template?
2. In the "webserver configuration\mod_rewrite enabled" I get a message saying: "I can't tell whether mod_rewrite is running. You may need to configure a rewriting rule yourself".
I've searched your forums for a solution but I don't find the right one. How can I solve it?Thanks in advance.

The only way you can solve the mod_rewrite is by adjusting this yourself on your server but it's not required in orde to get the cms up and running I believe.
With the empty template you can run through a series of tutorials which can be found here on this site. I suggest you do this! A great way to explore all the features of this cms and it's flexibility.
