Can't see login fields on new 2.2.3 LAMP install

31 December 2008 at 2:55pm
Hi SSers
I'm making my first attempt at a SS installation (stable build 2.2.3) on a LAMP (CentOS,PHP5) server. The installation with the default template (blackcandy) tells me it has been successful. However, when I try to log in to the CMS, the page renders but when I click either "email and password" or "openID/iname" no boxes or buttons appear...
Some of the more advanced forum postings seem to suggest it could be because there's no $Layout tag associated with this content/template, but without even being able to log in I'm finding it hard to get up to speed! Could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Edmund

The default template should show the forms right away -- are they in the HTML when you do 'view source' ?

Try doing the following:
* delete the auth_openid folder
* Visit http://www.example.com/db/build?flush=1And then try logging in again. This time, you won't have any tabs; only the email & password option will be shown.

I have just installed my first site using SilverStripe and have come across this exact same problem. I have tried the "delete the auth_openid folder" suggestion and then the "build?flush=1" and still no luck. Note the source code for this page does not show any form tags etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers
