Bluehost Install issues

Hi,
Havinga few painfully issues installing silverstripe on a bluehost server, currently, I have resorted to running the install script and there seems to be a problem with the mod rewrite
on install.php I get:
I can't tell whether mod_rewrite is running. You may need to configure a rewriting rule yourself.then post install I get:
Fatal error: DATABASE ERROR: Couldn't run query: SHOW FULL FIELDS IN `Newsletter`Any ideas would be most appreciated!
