Hello!
I just found this CMS after searching through the interwebs for a good one and this one looks really good, my website has its server run linux so i downloaded the linux install files and unzipped em with alzip and then sent them to my server with filezilla. Then i went onto my site and it just loaded a blank page :/ I can get onto the install by typing domain.com/install.php and that works but the index wont work and i want to get onto the index page :S So can anyone tell me why this is happening???
Anyway thanks in advance and to any experienced silverstripe users is this cms any good and worth the effort, i only want a simple site so im not bothered about weird things xD

I have the exact same problem. My host doesn't allow me to turn on that mod_rewrite rule so I can"t use this otherwise excellent cms. I would say that for making this cms more accessible there should be a workaround for this. Should be possible.

Strange thing is that the installer will not continue as long as this mod_rewrite is not fixed. Couldn't the cms work with an .htaccess file? Sort of as a backup maybe.
