hi,

I want to rewrite my website and would like to give SilverStripe a try.

My host provider helped me installing the SilverStripe to the server directly. So whatever changes I make from CMS, I can see it on the internet immediately.

As I need to keep my rewrite work from the current website, the SS is installed in www.mysite.com/silverstripe/. However, it looks like the future url for the home page, for example, will become www.mysite.com/silverstripe/index.htm.

I don't want the "silverstripe" to be shown on the urls. How can I make the index page back to www.mysite.com/index.htm and do the same for the rest of urls?

Thanks!

You will have to move your SS site to your www.yoursite.com webroot, not the silverstripe subfolder..

Just move your ss files to the root folder and change the .htaccess rewrite base...
But you will lose your original site then...

This is basic stuff, I would recommend some basic study about websites and hosting in general before diving into this..
