Open Source Awards 2011

Posted by Kirsten Moodie on 5 August 2011

Here we go again! Show your support by nominating SilverStripe CMS in PacktPub's annual Open Source Awards.

Your nomination will help us to secure our position as a finalist, which in turn allows us to secure money we can devote on furthering our open source project. Gaining a good position in the PacktPub awards also helps us to spread awareness of SilverStripe CMS, which fuels adoption and encourages growth in our developer community. All this adds up to making SilverStripe an even better CMS!

In the past years we've won 'Most Promising CMS' (2008), placed second for 'Best Overall CMS' (2009), and placed second for 'Open Source CMS' (2010).

Nominations close September 9, so spread the word and help us to become a finalist. The appropriate category for SilverStripe CMS to be nominated for is 'Open Source CMS'. Thanks for your support!

  • I have always wanted to see an awards ceremony on TV for something like the Open Source Awards. I feel if it was to be broadcast on TV, or as a live internet stream, that people would watch and hopefully some of those people will gain interest in programming or in open source coding. Software is so important in our society that we can use all the programmers we can get. Just think about it... your computer, your TV, your DVR, your cell phone... all use some form of software to function. I want to extend my congratulations to SliverStripe CMS for its continued success!
