Hi everyone,

I'm happy to announce the RC2 release of the upcoming 3.0.1 point release

It fixes a regression introduced in 3.0.1-rc1, and adds a small feature that narrowly missed being included in 3.0.1-rc1 and which has strong community desire behind it.

3.0.1 should be a drop in upgrade for 3.0.0, fixing issues that either weren't critical enough to hold off the release of 3.0.0, or have been discovered in testing since 3.0.0 was released. Assuming no blocking issues are found, this RC release will become the final 3.0.1 release soon.

We request anyone developing a site on 3.0.0 upgrade now, to ensure there are no blocker issues with upgrading that would affect the 3.0.1 release.
