Link an image to a videopage Part 2

I am having a problems linking either text or an image to a page on the site. The procedure I perform is:
1. I either highlight the text or click on to the image.
2. I click on the link icon in the page stage tools area.
3. I then choose from a list to the right (page on the site).
4. I then choose the page and click link.
The final step is I then save it, and try to see if the linkage works, but a message will display" page not found".
I am wondering if there is a php file that need to be changed to allow access to be able to link something to a page on the site? Is there a solution to my problem?
