Missing fields in Form. Display Message

Hello,
in version 2.4.3 the check if the required fields are there is done in Form->validate().
This works fine as it should be, but the information about the missing fields is stored via Session::set and then redirected back to the form.
With the standard form template copied to an individual one, no message is displayed.
How can I access this session information within my template ?
