Current site URL on email template

This is a very noob questions, been looking around but havent been able to get the answer.
Basically, I would like to display URL of the site on emailtemplate.ss. Is this possible? I know that URL of the site is never stored anywhere..

have you tried putting $BaseHref into the template?
