Return entire site URL

Im sure this must be simple but I can find out how to do it!
I just want to return the entire site URL... i.e. www.mysite.com/parent/child/grandchild
something like $URL ?

$AbsoluteLink / $Link is the standard pattern for returning a link to an object.
