show gallery on frontpage

I'd like to display a gallery page on my Frontpage.
To show a simple page I put "$Page(Nameofthepage).Content" in my page.ss.
Is it possible to include a gallery in the same way?
I already created a gallery page which is listed in the menu and displays correctly - but it should be on my Frontpage!!!
