Licensing a Theme?

Was wondering what people's thoughts were on a licensing information for a theme. Ideally I would like to keep the credits of our themes in the footer with a link back to our website or basically the CC 2.5 license
Wondering on others people's thoughts on this and if it's even an option.

Its an option, I don't think any licenses are forced on the theme developers so your free to license your themes as you wish. As long as you include the relevant links to the licenses then it should be fine.
