layout is not showing

Hi all,
I have to make a translation of the existing site, the second language will use slightly different theme, I transalted the pages duplicated the theme files. The problem is that the .ss file in templates is working but not showing the layout from Layout DIR.
The first language site works OK, i did not make any changes to the theme or to the PageTypes.am I missing something?
