@mvo i have not installed SS in IIS, but i have installed in wamp server, and works well, try wamp. you will love silverstripe

I get that installing on IIS can be a bit more tricky...

Still, as to the cache: no searching involved, just create a folder called silverstripe-cache in the root of your website, that should do it.
