Themes and subthemes

29 March 2009 at 11:53pm
Hey guys,
I have made a theme that I am using for a website. There is a basic structure such as Header, Left, Content, Bottom.Sometimes there is a Right column and sometimes there are extra blocks in the Left column under the menu just like Amazon does. I have made a base template page which just includes a Header, Middle and Bottom.
In mysite when I create template pages I define the structure of the Middle, be a basic Left column, a Content area and a Right column if required on that page. The Content area is an include that sits in mysite/templates/includes. Is there any better way to go about this from a structure perspective and would Silverstripe be able to accommodate for this type of structure in any better way?
Thanks
