Earthling and Image Gallery

I have run into a problem when editing the menu placement in the Earthling theme.
As by standard the Image Gallery menu will show up on top of the gallery (in earthling, image attached) and I have worked all night long to get it placed on the left side - so far, not too much success in the placement. I dont think i have to describe my hard labor any furter - lets just say that every minute waiting to reach out to you, the community, its another wasted minute.
Please help me!

Oh - I might add in that I'm all new to Silverstripe, also that stylesheets isnt my favorite waste of time
, lucky for me my php coding skills are a little bit better.
And while im writing this, I'm so impressed by silverstripe - it is a real publishing tool and not a super-mega-controllcenter (read: Joomla, and soon also Wordpress i guess) like all of the other php CMS:s out there.
