Widgets won't show after I upgraded to 2.40

Hi guys,
I have upgraded the SS system from 2.37 to 2.40, then none of my widgets are showing.
Does anyone know why?

same here, active widgets for a certain page show up in the backend but not on the frontend. if i add a new, same type of widget it does show.
