Place a group of widgets in two different areas

I have about 10 widgets. My objective is to place about 5 widgets in leftsidebar and another 5 in the rightsidebar in a page and these widgets should be sortable by the admin.
How can I do this assuming that the widget database has information where the widget will be placed (either left or right ) ?
