I'm learning SS in order to be able to move all my sites from Concrete5 and wonder how to achieve C5 effect of having multiple blocks available on the page?

Afaik, SS have single page-type for the whole page, while in C5 one can put several different 'content-blocks' on the single page (e.g. embed youtube video player, have HTML content, RSS feed...), so I wonder whether widgets in SS are some sort of feature-equivalent or there is some other way to achieve the same/similar thing as in C5?
