Aaron 'Uncle Cheese' Carlino has jetted his way off to Japan this week. As is customary in Japanese culture you can't turn up without a gift (this is called 'omiyage'). So here is some omiyage for you: a great new lesson aimed at an intermediate level to guide you through setting up a more customised development environment.

In this lesson, we'll talk about going beyond simple _ss_environment.php configurations and how to deploy targeted functionality toward dev, test, and live environments.

The lesson covers:

  • An overview of environments
  • Setting up logging for different environments
  • Dealing with email
  • Beyond MAMP/WAMP: Creating a custom environment
  • Creating custom virtual hosts

Happy learning! And if you want to watch previous online lessons, head over to our lessons page.
