Module to allow a DataObject to be presented through the TinyMCE

I've been looking around for a module to allow a user to display content from a DataObject through the TinyMCE editor. I have found this linkable - data objects module however it can't be installed for 3.3.x. I've also seen this one but I don't think it would do what I want it to, the details are a bit light.

I'm sorry for the late response and I hope you already got this working, but just in case - couldn't this be easily done by using a shortcode?

(Doc may look a bit daunting at first, but is actually quite easy :) )
