Hi

I've just stumbled upon silverstripe and I'm REALLY impressed with the demo, definitely thinking of using this as a basis for customers who would like a CMS.

I have a quick question to those who know the system much more than me! If I have a customer who wants to create multiple sites - can I do this from one install of silverstripe. For example, they may want a main site, but then smaller microsites in subfolders that have a different look and feel. Can I set up seperate design templates for them to use on the microsite so that the headers/logo etc and colours will be slightly different than that of the main site?

Many thanks

Yes, You can have different parts of a website having totally different templates. The tutorials instruct this. Your URLs will not be www.mainsite.com/smallsite/services/ but instead www.mainsite.com/small-site-services/ however. You will need to a do a little coding to get the subsites to not have the top navigation.

There is a subsite module being built, and if you're adventurous, this would give you some great functionality.
