PHP Fatal error: DB::connect: Not passed a valid database config

This is my first time installing SS, I am trying to evaluate it. When I try to install I get the following error and I cannot continue. I have little php knowledge but hopefully soon all that will change! I have asked hosting provider to increase my memory, it is now set to 64mb but still no go.
PHP Fatal error: DB::connect: Not passed a valid database config in /home/default/prestigelogic.com/user/htdocs/silverstripe/sapphire/core/model/DB.php on line 51, referer: http://www.prestigelogic.com/silverstripe/install.php

Can anyone help?
