I actually think I figured out what it was. I was having the same error and it was driving me nuts because I was following the tutorial exactly. Then after looking closer I called the file Home.php instead of HomePage.php
Fixing that let me rebuild the database correctly and everything worked fine. So I'm just gonna ask that long output is SilverStripe just being finicky about names.
