Hi all

I am currently trying to get a particular accented character to work - ā

I can enter these into the CMS without a problem and they appear correctly, but they are displaying on the published site as question marks (Māori as written in the CMS becomes M??ori on the published site).

Other accented characters work fine (such as á) - I figured it was something to do with the charset - it is set to utf-8, but plenty of other sites with macronised characters seem to use this without problem.

If anybody could give me a hand it would be really appreciated!

Did you find the solution? i have same problem.
accented character appears ok in database but not in CMS?¿?¿

Emms - Have you tried adding the following into the html code "&#257". So, for example, to write the word Māori, you would change the 'a' in the word to the code ā, giving Māori.

This should be entered into the html code via the wysiwyg in silverstripe admin.
