I find the current code for inserted Flash Objects via the CMS is based on traditional <OBJECT> tag, which makes cross browser issues (as in IE) and makes the site standards incompatible. A better practice as community suggests (http://alistapart.com/articles/flashembedcagematch) would be to use SWFObject (http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/) or tweaking flash embedding with java script. I feel since SilverStripe moves towards being a standard based, usable CMS latter idea would be a good move. What you guys think ?

Also there is no way to close the dialog box for inserting Flash in the editor. It doesn't close as in the case of images. We better should look into this too.

Sounds like a good idea - myself I've used swfobject before and I did like what I was seeing... perhaps it is something we can move towards.

Also, yeah, the flash dialog wasn't closing for me so we took a look at it. Thanks for pointing it out. :-)

Cheers!
