I have been reviewing lots of open source cms's and i have to say that this is probably the best cms that fits 80% of new website needs. My only issue is with the wysiwyg editor, it they are not embedded in to the template that is being edited and there for you can't add the content to the page seeing the context in which it will be dispayed.
what is the reason for this?
we have (an old, tired) a cms that the previous developer built that has editable regions built in to the wyiwyg, this works great with table based layout but is pretty quirky with templates built with standards layout. Is this a common problem and is this why all cms's use the text editing areas the way they do?
I am very interested to find out why they are this way because we have loads of clients on our old cms and we are thinking about moving them all to silverstripe but this is a feature that i think they would miss, but if i could give them a good explanation as to why it works this way then that would soften the blow I think.
cheers
