Hey guys,

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I was wondering if there were any plans to do this in a future release? It's a great idea and makes the whole content management process so much easier for not-so-tech-savvy clients (a sizeable proportion of ours!).

I approached a developer to implement such a feature, but remembered that would make upgrading to future releases a pain... So, all I can do is plead and hope ;)

The blog module will have frontend editing support - eg writing blogs without going into the cms but im not sure if this is just for blogs or if we will ever roll it out for the rest silverstripe?!?

When will we be seeing the blog module? I'm looking at making a blog in SS and the module's sounding very handy...

it is nearing the end of development I believe, you would have to ask andy or jez - the 2 awesome guys working on it or brian for a more detailed answer but I believe a beta release in the next coming weeks.

Any news on this part yet?

A part of my website should be only be reachable after users have logged in or registered.

This means there should be some kind of 'frontend user' administration in the backend as well.

Don't know if it's possible with SS ?

This seems to go in the direction: http://www.silverstripe.com/google-summer-of-code-forum/flat/3679

Will this become available or will we have to code it ourselves?
